Building Construction Building Construction I Credits:  2     Prerequisites:  Good Math Skills Site:  Fort Dorchester Students will learn the basics of building construction in the areas of cabinet making, carpentry, concrete and masonry.  Students will follow national standards and will be eligible to become NCCER certified upon course completion.  They will also learn fundamentals of home building with on site supervision.     Building Construction II Credits:  2     Prerequisite:  Building Construction I Site:  Fort Dorchester This course refines the building construction skills in the3 introductory Building Construction I.  Additional skills in finishing the interior and exterior rafters through trim out, heating and air conditioning system installation, residential and commercial plumbing, residential electricity and safety practices and roofing.  The class project will consist of students building a house demonstrating the construction skills mastered.  NCCER certification can be obtained at the conclusion of the course.    Instructor George Hinerman - Buidling Construction I and II Dorchester County Career and Technology Center Preparing Tomorrow’s Workforce Today
