Nail Technology Nail Technology Credits:  4    Prerequisite:  None Site:  DCCTC/Trolley Campus Students will learn professional techniques for specializing in manicures, pedicures, procedures for applying all artificial extensions, nail art and airbrushing!  The course of study includes instruction in diseases & disorders, chemistry, biology, anatomy, physiology of arms, hands and feet.  Salon planning and management will also be addressed.  The class is a one-year program.  Students will be required to accumulate 300 classroom training hours and pass the written and practical portion of the State Board exam, thus becoming a certified nail technician by the South Carolina State Board of Cosmetology in the spring.  Upon state licensing, students will be prepared to enter the workforce prior to the conclusion of the school year.    Instructor Nail Technology   Dorchester County Career and Technology Center Preparing Tomorrow’s Workforce Today
